Part 18 - Learn How To Create Effective Affirmation Statements
Affirmations are nothing new, but how you create them is as important to when you use them. Words, and the way the statements are written is important for your subconscious to accept the affirmations and begin to manifest what you are asking for.
- Make them positive: Affirmations should be phrased in a positive way, rather than focusing on what you don’t want or don’t have. For example, instead of saying “I don’t want to be anxious,” you might say “I am calm and at peace.”
- Keep them specific: The more specific your affirmations are, the more powerful they will be. Rather than using general statements, focus on specific areas of your life or specific goals you want to achieve.
- Use present tense: Phrase your affirmations as though they are already true, using present tense verbs. For example, “I am healthy and fit,” rather than “I will be healthy and fit.”
- Make them believable: It’s important to choose affirmations that you genuinely believe to be true, or that you can envision yourself believing. If you don’t believe an affirmation, it will be less effective.
- Repeat them regularly: The more often you repeat your affirmations, the more they will become a part of your belief system. Try to repeat your affirmations at least once a day, or even multiple times a day if possible.
